I chose "I am Malala" because I have heard her story many times in the news and craved an in-depth look at her life and the struggles she has overcome as she achieved a higher education at any cost. The author is herself with the assistance of another writer which makes her the primary source on the subject!

I chose the book "A Mighty Long Way" by Carlotta Walls LaNier because the story of 9 African Americans fighting for their rights in what was an all white school seemed very intriguing. Carlotta speaks of her struggles of being the youngest African American girl going into this high school and all the problems she faces, for example, getting teased, verbally abused, and much more.

I decided to read "Freakonomics" because it is in my best interest to think about things logically and this book takes an obscure path into the depths of how logic is used to explain the most abstruse topics.

I chose the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel. This book interested me because I enjoy reading stories about the holocaust and learning about the history of it. Wiesel was a prisoner in the Aushwitz camp in Germany and uses his own experiences to write this book. Having experienced it first hand this qualifies him to write a book about this topic.

I chose the book "Seabiscuit" by Laura Hillenbrand. I chose this book because I've always heard about this story and but I've never read the book. I wanted to learn more about this story. The author wrote this book to illustrate the history of the once illegal sport and one of its greatest athletes, Seabiscuit. She wanted to document a story she calls "more satisfying than any other story".

I choose the book "Holocaust House" because of my interest in the Holocaust. Recently I went to the Holocaust Museum and I found it astonishing. It is a remarkable time in our history. So I have became more and more interested along the way. The author's qualifications to write this book is to look back in the past at a hardship of time. The understanding of how she felt during this time. This is told by the first person view of how she lived her life throughout and how she conquered this in her own ways.

The book I chose is "Into The Wild" by Jon Krakauer. I chose this book because it seemed like it would be interesting to learn how Chris McCandless came to his untimely death in the Alaskan wilderness. Jon Krakauer is qualified to write about this because after Chris's body was found, he was put in charge of writing an article about for a magazine. The story enticed him so much that he followed the life of Chris and his journey after he disappeared into thin air.

I choose the book Night by Elie Wiesel for the reason that I enjoy learning about the Holocaust. Such qualifications to write about this topic would to be one that lived through it. Since Elie's survival of the Holocaust this book is a way to show the terrors he endured, the horrid memories, wounds and losses.

I chose to read the book "Night" by Elie Wiesel. I've have always been interested in the holocaust and find true stories about it extremely touching. I loved the movie Schindler's List and hope to find the other side of the story. Auschwitz was the worst Nazi Camp and Elie survived. All evidence is from first-hand experience and is extremely realistic from a victim's POV. I can't wait to read!

I chose the book "Heaven is For Real" by Lynn Vincent and Todd Burpo because the movie came out for it recently and I really wanted to read the story behind it. It is a true story about a little boy who had a near death experience and claims to have seen angels and Jesus. The authors qualification is that Burpo is the little boy's father, and it is told from his point of view.

I choose the book Quiet because it was about the successes and interests of introverts, and I have only heard good things from people who have read it. The author, Susan Cain, is qualified due to her extensive years in college at both Princeton and Harvard. And being an introvert herself, it seems appropriate she writes this book.

I am choosing the book "Heaven is for real" by Todd Burpo because, first I knew about how popular this book was becoming and recently a movie following the book. It's #1 New York Times seller, so I knew it would be a great catch ! The book is based on the little boy Colton Burpo who suffered from a freak tragic illness. Along with being hospitalized Colton dies for just a matter of minutes undersurgery.. But everything is okay because meets Jesus. I think it's fascinating what we can learn from innocent little kids. And this book tells it all.

The author is qualified to speak on this topic because it was his past and he lived in the hell he was describing.
