Overall I thought Lance Armstrong's It's Not the Bike; My Journey Back to Life was a great book. The book was very moving and a real eye- opener. He showed us the true side of his story with how dealing with cancer and his childhood had shaped him to be the person he is today and how nothing should hold you back no matter how hard the situation is. I would recommend this book to anyone having a hard time dealing with something going on in their life and need to keep a positive attitude and keep their head up. I think most people no matter if they like Lance Armstrong or not would enjoy reading this book and it would persuade them to believe Lance is an inspirational man that you can look up to. I preferred this book over my first one only due to the fact that this one wasn't as sad and it has taught me valuable lessons on life and how to deal with situations that seem impossible.

My overall response to "Start something that matters" was positive, the book had multiple angles that displayed how productive and successful the company TOMS has been. I would classify the book as moving, inspiring and riveting. I have already recommended this book to family and friends.

Throughout the whole book of "Night" I was guessing what was going to happen next. Never did I know what would happen or what would happen to Elie and his father in the future. I enjoyed the book for many reasons. It was a quick read and like I had said before it keeps the reader on edge throughout the whole book, keeping the reader entertained the whole time. Once started I coud not put the book down, all the free time I had was spent reading. I would definitely recommend the book to a friend or anyone intersted in the holocaust. Theres no way a person could not enjoy this book, it shows so many good points and it even gives the reader a great background of how times were back then. I am very glad I picked this book over my first choice. I read the first few pages of my first book and could not get into it. But with "Night" I was hooked from the start! This is no doubt a book a classmate or friend should read!

"Quiet" by Susan Cain was okay. I'm not really interested in nonfiction books, but this one was one of the better ones I've read. I wouldn't recommend this book to people who are more into fiction books. I usually have to have a story to be interested in a book. It was interesting to hear her opinions, theories, facts, and experiences as an introvert herself though. She made some good points, but I think the book was too long. It could have been much shorter, and it dragged on with boring facts that frankly made me fall asleep. The advice and message in "Quiet" was my favorite part. I could read that all day. She wanted people to know that introverts are just as important as extroverts in this world, and her message came across fairly well. Overall, Cain's book wasn't my favorite book to read, but there were some really good parts that I liked about it. This book was way better than “The Blind Side” though. I can relate to it more because I am an introvert. I’m not a sports person or sports fan however.

My overall response to "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell was that it was a very interesting read, even though it was a non-fiction book it kept my attention and was very informative. It was interesting how Gladwell made his point by retelling certain stories from different sources. Gladwell's argument was compelling and convincing throughout the book and made the audience believe Gladwell's point of view clearer. Considering that this book was my first choice, I did prefer this one and I enjoyed reading it.

Overall, I though Look Me in the Eyes was a fantastic book. I'm sincerely interested in the field of special education and the study of disabilities so although I liked my last book, I would prefer this one. I thought it was moving how someone could go through life not knowing they have a disability but overall conquer the negative characteristics that come along with this. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in special education.

Overall I found "Columbine" by Dave Cullen to be extremely moving and in-depth. I feel that this book is laid out in the best possible form to present the reader with an experience that makes you feel like you were there when it happened; not reading about it over 10 years later. This book goes back and forth between quotations of books and newspapers to the killers' own journals; the book tells you what their childhoods and parents were like, and although what they did was inexcusable, this book shows their anger towards the world just how out of touch with reality they really were. I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in Columbine, or is looking for a good nonfiction book that grabs the reader's interest.

I was really happy with "A Mighty Long Way" it really took me through the struggles of black children integrating is segregated schools. It was very moving because I felt the compassion the author put into writing this novel and the fact I felt like I was there experiencing the pain and hardship. I would definitely recommend this book coming from a person that generally despises nonfiction this one is an exception because I feel everything that the author is going through and I love it. Actually this was my first choice and I'm glad I choose it.

Overall I really enjoyed reading "Heaven is for Real". It was extremely moving to read how much the family went through and how well they came out of this situation. They looked at all the good and no bad, which may really help me in the future. Although I liked my first book "Eat, Pray, Love" I enjoyed this book more. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in heaven and Jesus.

"Wiseguy" left me fascinated after giving me an in-depth look at the inner workings of the mafia. This was a very interesting read. I have never read a book that has had me more intrigued from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend it as it is by far the best book i have ever read. I definitely preferred this book over my first choice.

"Twelve Years a Slave" was good once I got into it, even though the beginning was a little slow. It was very interesting to see a side of the slave world not taught in depth in the classroom. I would recommend it to those who are not squeamish, it is a little bit graphic at some parts. But honestly, that is what made it so interesting. Between this and "Columbine" I honestly couldn't choose they are both amazing non-fiction books.

I really enjoyed "Columbine", mainly because it was engaging and powerful. It had a strong affect on how I look at things, even though this took place more than 10 years ago, it makes you think that this could happen anywhere. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has heard of the Columbine shooting and is interested in learning more. I prefer this book over the first one I read, "Into the Wild", because it was more interesting.

If you don't read "Lone Survivor" you are seriously missing out. The book makes you realize what Navy SEALs go through on a day to day basis. I saw the movie and I the book would never come close to being as good. Boy was I wrong. People always say the book is better than the movie, and I never genuinely believed that until now. Bottom line is that I will recommend this book to whoever I can. This was definitely the better choice in books for me. I found it a lot more entertaining than any book I have ever read.

Overall the book was very inspiring. I found the determination of other's interesting; I was fully engaged to find the connection between faith and the human will to succeed through the toughest times. I would only recommend this book to those who are intrigued by success stories and have a stable faith simply because the beginning of each story starts the same. There is an underdog, a problem, and a solution that several people would overlook. I preferred the first book I read, "The Man Who Flew the Memphis Belle" by Robert Morgan, because there was more action and the book was unpredictable. Malcolm Gladwell's "David and Goliath" contained the same story line for every section of the book, therefore I was only fully engaged in certain parts of Gladwell's writing.

I really liked The Blindside, it was a fantastic book, I would definitely recommend it for anyone to read. A rich white family taking care of a poor black young man, who turns out to have outstanding physical abilities, and the message it sends is great, it's a great story with great characters and it restores faith in humanity, while also being comedic and symbolic in many ways. 10/10, would read again.

Overall, this is one of the best books I've ever read. I would recommend this to everyone! Women would find the most interest in it, but it can be enjoyed by all. This really opened my eyes to see how bad others have it. It was also very inspirational to see how close two people can become, be separated by distance, and return to one another and be closer than ever. This book was better than my first choice by far!

The book Scratch Beginnings was a very interesting book, and it shows that you do not need to have a good situation in order to have success in life. The book proves that the American Dream is still very much achievable for anyone from any starting point. I would recommend it for anybody to read, because it is written with very easy to understand language and it has ideals that many people can agree with.

My overall response to the book "Wiseguy" is that this book what I have been looking for in books that is not commonly found in most, that its story was very strong, informative, and compelling towards the life of a Mafia man. I would recommend this book, but with a STRONG warring of language and theme. I would definitely prefer this book over the my previous choices of books picked before it due to how much it really did draw me into it and kept me intrigued through the whole story line.

I enjoyed the book "Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage". It was an interesting and amazing tale of adventure. I enjoyed this book much more than my previous reading project. This novel was entertaining, and kept you intrigued throughout. There was a nice amount of historical background, while still telling the story. I would recommend the book to other readers who enjoy non-fiction.

My overall impression of Heaven is For Real was a little disappointed. It was a good book, but my expectations were set high from the dramatization of the movie trailer. I still think that the Burpos' story is an amazing one and definitely one to be shared. I preferred my first book Outliers to this one. Outliers gave me a lot of new information that was interesting to me and that I could apply to my life and think more on, while Heaven is For Real was more of a feel good story about faith and family.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the book "A Mighty Long Way". When an author can draw you in and explain historical events, through a narrative you can really tell they know what they are doing. I would definitely recommend this book for people who dislike traditional non-fiction, because it reads like a novel. I preferred my first choice because it is truly hard to beat a book that makes you cry.

I liked my book but was not crazy about it. The outliers is a lot of statistics and facts, it was very interesting but didn't keep me that entertained. I would have preferred a book with more of a story line opposed to facts.

My first choice was similar to this one so I think I would have liked it about the same. It was a good book but I would not read it again.
